A Blueprint for Trans and Non-binary Sexual Health and Liberation

Designed as a blueprint for community activists, policymakers, health care and social service providers, and funders, this report identifies barriers to an ideal world where trans and non-binary people are in control of their sexual health and proposes solutions to remove those barriers following an 18-month community research project. The report is available in English and Spanish.

HIV Testing among the MSM Group in Bulgaria

This report is an analysis of results from the #endHIVbg pilot initiative which Single Step Foundation and partners executed. It focused on Bulgarian men who have sex with men (MSM) and trans people (a small proportion of all participants) and introduced free home tests for detecting HIV antibodies.

Disability Justice is LGBT Justice: A Conversation with Movement Leaders

This podcast was recorded in July 2014, following the first White House panel on LGBT and disability issues in June of that year. The discussion features three advocates for LGBT and disability justice: Allie Cannington, Dylan Orr, and the late Ki’tay Davidson. Emmett Patterson, a former intern with the LGBT Research and Communications Project, led the discussion.

LGBTQI Cultural Humility

This training was developed for the Harm Reduction Coalition’s Harm Reduction Educators training curriculum. This module focuses on sociocultural factors that impact LGBTQI people who use drugs or engage in sex work and train on culturally responsive techniques to support LGBTQI people who access harm reduction services.

The System Makes Me Sick

This module is an introduction course developed for local D.C. universities on the theory of structural violence and centers on the experience of trans people living in U.S. healthcare systems. Students of the course map out how violence impacts trans health over the course of the training.
